Draw Island
I made this drawing on the Draw Island web app. It's basically a paint app but online. You can save your drawings. It's kind of hard to draw honestly. This could be used for some educational purposes. However, it seems more of a casual activity.
Animoto
The Voyage
I made this video using the web app called Animoto. This allows users to use templates to make stories. You can use images and videos to create a slideshow type presentation. I wrote a story about a voyage using their stock images. Though the video is only 30 secs long, I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is definitely appropriate for even elementary school students to use to work on writing and web fluency.
Wikispaces
Here's the link to my wikispace: https://cedwardsmusic.wikispaces.com/
Though it has not really been utilized, I can see it's value. I was able to place a editable document on there to list things I want for my program. Theoretically speaking, students could go on there if they had an account and also add to the list or create a wish list. Parents could get involved as well. It seems like Google Docs have a similar function. I'm wondering if wikispaces has any particular advantages.

RSS Feeds w/ Feedly
This is the first time I've experimented with a RSS Feed. I'm thoroughly impressed. All I have to do is search for certain topics and I receive articles and posts from multiple places. This is a great thing as a teachers. You're constantly being updated on the newest trends and problems within the field. Professional Learning Networks are useful because the teacher has many different people to learn from when he or she has a problem. or needs new ideas. RSS feeds provide this community since it sends up to date information on article and blog publishings on the topic.
Google Docs
Google Docs is another website that I was very familiar with before starting the technology course. I used it in college and we use it at my school. Google Docs is a good way for students to share documents when doing group projects and for teachers to share things such as worksheets.
Pinterest is a site I was using before the technology course recommended it. It is a great way to find any type of multimedia from images and videos, to documents and lesson plans. I recommend it for any teacher!
